Lolcat classic.

*since i've seen 1-6, i'm going to review all of em here <_< *

~*Overall*~
After following the Lolcat series, I found the weekly-based episodes added some suspense that kept the series up and going.

Although I don't know the Lolcat history, I can tell you that the amount of originality and humor in the series made me lol irl' many times, and I really liked how well you integrated photos of pets and popular cat pictures into the flash. The episodes were short and sweet and packed with random humor and punchlines. I also found it funny how you made the lolcat's character match with the lolcat's caption found on the original pics.

~Part 1~
Great opening to the series, I especially enjoyed the cinematic opening scene and story.

~Part 2~
Not much to say, although it fell a little short. I didn't like the pauses between each character's talking and movements.

~Part 3~
Really picked up, the story really starts to develope and you gain a more detailed look at some of the characters. One of my favorites.

~Part 4~
Character development from the first 3 parts come together, this is where the story really seemed to pick up. I liked it pretty well.

~Part 5~
Absolutely, genuinely hilarious. Funniest of the series, I rofled at the Al Gore jokes and it was all very good.

~Finale~
The best of the series, obviously. It wrapped everything up, but unfortunately held very few jokes in the actual flash. The credits, however, and the ample amount of content found in the credits, made it worth while. Overall, it did what any good finale should do- leave you feeling good about the series, and a bit dissapointed that it's over.

Overall I highly enjoyed the lolcat series and deeply hope you may pick it up again someday with a Lolcat2. Looking forward to the DVD!

Thanks for such an in-depth review :) I don't have too many jokes, but the Capt. Planet thing and the cookie monsters still make me laugh just due to how bizaar and amusing it is to see that.

And yes, I do plan on picking it up in the future, but for now I'm taking a break.

Oh, and basically anything you'll find on the history of the Lolcats is pure fiction (this included).

The real history was that they originated on a gigantic forum where people keep trying to outdo each other with funny and disturbing photos (usually with captions) and the wacky photos of cats started to catch on and a lot of them were created there. Then other websites like icanhascheezburger.com emerged and created small empires around this Internet meme.

Decent...

One of my main irritations with this flash was the extremly cheesy voice acting and sound FX. I understand that you're going for a "cheeky", cartoony feel and in that sense you pulled it off- but I personally am not into that style of humor.

I also noticed that you cut corners in some areas to avoid the tedious walking animations. As well, there were some artwork issues that I found annoying. Basicly? : The story was good and original, but for me, it simply wasnt all that funny. The sitcom style humor only works in animations whose animation and artwork is amazing. Unfortunately, this is just GOOD.

Amazing for its time

Reviewers need to realize that this was made in 2000. In 2000, this was high tech shit, and although it may not seem like much now, it was hawt back then.Generally speaking it was fun- going around to diffrent, unique areas killing the bystanders. People who dont like that kind of thing shouldnt even review or rate it.

Overall, its a classic and one of the first shooters of its kind. Kudos!

Great flash, but lost the old flavor.

Yet again you keep the Madness legend going with another brilliantly animated, designed, and plotted flash that kept me watching over, and over, and over.

I really enjoyed Jebus's abilites, excluding the cool gun effects, his god-like abilities really made the flash a lot more interesting. Another major aspect of the madness series that really shows through this time around is your extreme attention to detail. One of my favorite parts was actually when he was taking apart the sniper rifle. Zooming in and watching ever intricatly animated body part, gun, and effects allow you to fully see the amount of effort put into this flash.

I also actually enjoyed having Jebus as the main character this time around. I honestly believe that after 7 amazing madness movies, it was Hank's time to step aside. Weather or not you keep jebus as a main character, I think that he makes it a little more interesting with his god like powers.

One of the main things I've seen other reviewers complain about, other than the absence of a few characters; is that it seems to be getting a tiny bit dull after 8 episodes. Based on Madness Inundation, I would agree. Unfortunately, this lacked the bone snapping violence and fast paced action that kept the other episodes so thrilling. This music also seemed a bit mellow and generic. I think the main reason people think the series is getting dull is because it's been around a while, and there hasent really been all that much new stuff. This may be partially because of the lack-luster environment. The guns, characters, and abilities are as good as ever, though.

Luckily, this animation is a giant step forward. This proves to us fans that you're willing to make changes. Overall, I believe that if you can sparce up the environments to something more interesting, combined with Jebus's abilites and ultra violence, the madness series will go on for a long time to come. I know, regardless of anything, I'll still be watching-over, and over, again.

Could have been better.

If you were making a WW2 Spirite movie, use the Metal Slug guys....they look exactly like the allied soldiers who landed on the beaches of Normandy.

Although I havent seen the series, I believe you could have integrated the items drawn in flash a lot better. The objects you drew or animated in flash were a great deal lower quality then then spirites, and it lowered the overall feel of the flash.
I also didnt like how you only had a few guys on the screen at once during the landing scene...the landing scene should feel impressive and epic and sadly it fell a bit short.

Overall, it was decent and original, but it fell short in the long run. 5/10

BurntIceProductions responds:

well its not WW@ sprite movie, It A mario serie based on a war between the MK and KK (Koopa kingdom) that takes place in a time where both sides have 1940 themed technology. And Just cus its storiming a Beach doesnt mean its a WW2 movie Storming Beaches is a type of battle and D-day was not the only one(Tho it was very important), And the loading screen is sumthing i put just so ppl wont say i was mocking Dday (i guess that sorta backfired on me tho)

WONDERFULL! GAY! GREAT! SHIT!

I would rather fuck a porcupine while shoving a cactus up my ass then watch this awful piece of dog shit again. I would rather drown in gasoline, while listening to my only infant child choking on his vomit. I'd rather watch shit oozing out of a buffalo's anus while covered in steaming donkey shit then play this abomonation of man-kind on my screen again.

Kow-abunga. KOW-A-FUCKING PIECE OF DOG SHIT.

just2pale responds:

Tell me how you really feel.

Great animation!

The movements of the character's Eyes, Lips, Mount, and overall body parts was very fluid and smooth. One thing that really irritates me is how it froze halfway through....but...anyways, it was funny, looking forward to #3!

BaconMask responds:

It did? Hmmm... I'll check into that. Thanks!

Excellent!

I can tell you put a lot of detail into the backgrounds and the characters. I was amazed at how well the characters sprung to life. The facial motions of the mouth, ears, eyes, ect. were all done very well.

The only downside is the tall white guy you see at the beginning with the big nose, could have been designed better. His apearance was clunky and it made him seem more artificial than the others.

As far as animation, it was all generally smooth and added to the sictom-style humor. The fact that it's based on reality makes it even funnier. I'm looking forward to the next part of a soon-2-B awsome series!

keep it up!

BaconMask responds:

It's funny that you mention Derek's appearance. That is the only character directly modeled off of a real person! He looks a LOT like his character there... but maybe I'll revise him a shade for the sequel. Glad you enjoyed, thanks for the review!

ps3 sucks huge, massive, ass.

I have a 360 and a wii. The 360 kicks the Wii's ass, but the ps3 isnt even in the run. I love blasing people on XBL and hearing their response. Also, any online on the Ps3 will never be as good as the 360, the master of online gaming.

Halo 3 and GTA 3 will kick the shit out of Devil May Cry 4 and MGS: 4.

360 FTW!!

About the song and animation itself, all was well done. The lyrics rhymed well and the animation was simple enough to not take away from the song. Overall this was a great flash, with humor and a catchy toon.

Your best work yet!

Absolutly AMAZING! The special Effects were the best i have ever seen in a claymation, the animation was smooth, and it was very funny. "I Like to sit on my pancakes." So funny! 4 years and you STILL have it. You're back with your best clay film yet.

The only issue is you're going to have a very hard time topping this. Best of luck to you, you are a true Newgrounds legend."

take care bro, and good luck in the future.
